Charles Muras Obituary

CHARLES "CHARLIE" JOSEPH MURAS 91, of Jacinto City, TX passed away Wednesday March 15, 2006. Charles was born on May 6, 1914 to Charlie and Anna Muras in Reutersville, TX. He was a resident of Jacinto City for 55 years. Charlie served our country during WWII in the U.S. Navy from 1941 till 1946. He was aboard the USS Maryland and was a Pearl Harbor survivor. He married the love of his life, Agnes Prazak in 1947. They had a long loving marriage of 49 years and had 3 sons. Charlie was a member of Our Lady Of Fatima Catholic Church for over 50 years. He retired from Armco Steel after 33 years. He was an avid gardener, bowler, and loved to sit on his swing outside. Charlie was proceeded in death by his wife Agnes Muras, sister Henrietta Adamcik, brothers Stanley, Buck, Frank, and Anton Muras. He is survived by his 3 sons Patrick "Pat" Muras, Larry Muras and wife Belinda, Allan Muras and wife Desanne. His 3 grandchildren Bridget Lummus and husband Tommy, Charlie Muras and fiancé Brandi Havers and Jason Muras and wife Claudia. Brothers: Lad Muras and wife Helen, Louis Muras and wife Regina. Sisters: Francis Demel, Bessie Jolly, Mary Dietrich, Georgia Urban, and Ann Ruscher. Visitation will be on Friday March 17, 2006 from 5-8PM with a rosary to be held at 7PM at San Jacinto Funeral Home. Mass will be on Saturday March 18, 2006 at 10AM at Our Lady Of Fatima Church 1705 8th Street Galena Park 77547. Burial will follow at San Jacinto Cemetery.
