Chris was a good guy and a great shipmate. -As we walk below decks we know that your A-gang salt and sweat is holding the ship together.-
Chris loved to fish and Jeep and will be remembered everytime a pole is cast or a muddy Jeep goes by.
Prayers and blessings to the entire family.

To the family of MM3(SS) Chris Corona,
On behalf of all of us at U.S. SUBMARINE VETERANS Groton Base our sincere condolences on your loss.

Petty Officer Corona joined our organization in November after USS PITTSBURGHs last deployment when all of the Crew Members who had Qualified in Submarines during their last deployment were recognized by our membership.

Although he was only a member of our group for a very short time, he was still a "Brother of the Phin" and was very proud of his Submarine Service and Submariners Dolphins.

His loss at such a young age was indeed tragic and our heartfelt condolences go to his family and friends.

HAND SALUTE!
There is a port of no return where ships may lie at anchor for a little piece. And then some starless night the cable slips leaving only an eddie at the mooring place. Gulls vear no longer, Sailor rest your oar. No tangled wreckage shall be washed ashore.",
Shipmate Corona, rest your oar.
