Clarence G "Jabo" Green - went to Heaven October 5, 2022 in Montgomery, Texas at age 85. Jabo was born July 18, 1937 in Kilgore, Tx to Clarence and Viola Green. He is preceded in death by his parents and four siblings - Fern Philips, Joyce Jones, Faye Pierce, and Jim Green. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Polly Ann (Callender) Green, four sons and their wives, nine grandchildren and soon to be 19 great grandchildren. Son Danny Green and wife Janet. Grandson Jarrod Green and wife Kendra, great granddaughters Laila, Lonna, Lainey, and great grandson Landon. Grandson Nathan Green and wife Kyndal, great grandsons Chandler, Malachi, great granddaughter Fallon and great grandson Maverick. Son Johnny Green and wife Karen, granddaughter Samantha Johnson and Husband Matt. Great granddaughters Emilie, Hailey and great grandson Noah. Grandson Chad Green and wife Aunalee, Great granddaughters Blakelee, Rynlee, Winberlee. Son Phil Green and wife Lisa, granddaughter, Lauren Tyler and husband Ross, great grandson Ezra, great granddaughter Lane and unborn great grandson coming soon. Grandson, Kyle Green and wife Chloe, great grandsons, Baker & Ford. Son James Green and wife Debbie, granddaughter Brittany, grandsons Cameron and Carter. Jabo grew up in the Denver Harbor area of Houston better known as "po-dunk". He grew from paper boy to Pastor and a lover of people. From a question mark tattooed on his little finger to Jesus engraved on his heart. Jabo and Polly celebrated 65 years of marriage this past March. He spent his life building a marriage, a family, a church, and a wonderful life. Jabo enjoyed real estate investing , ranching, and sports (just about anything with a ball). He is known by many as 'soul winner'. If you meet Jabo Green you would soon be asked - do you know Jesus? Are you ready for Heaven? We will celebrate his life and legacy on Friday, October 14, 2022 at Champion Life Center (the church he founded in 1973) located at 3031 FM 2920, Spring Texas. Visitation - 2:30-5:30 pm. Memorial service - 6:30pm. In lieu of flowers all gifts can be made to Champion Life Center and will be given to Kidz Harbor in memory of Jabo Green.

My heartfelt condolences to the Jabo Green family! Some may remember that Pastor Jabo was also an insurance salesman. In the early '70s, he sold my dad an insurance policy and they became personal friends. My dad was not a believer and in 1974 was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer. During my family's darkest hour, Pastor Jabo was more than a friend or an insurance salesman to my dad, he was Christ's Ambassador who led my dad to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. A few months later, he preached my dad's funeral, comforted our family, and planted a seed in a wayward teenager that would eventually take root and bear fruit. Thank you Pastor Jabo for your faithfulness to the call of God upon your life. A great thank you to the Green Family for sharing your treasure with those in need. May the Lord comfort your hearts and minds during this time of great loss. "His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’" -Matthew 25:23

I send my condolences to the entire Green family for the loss of my Forever Pastor - I always think back to the 70´s when my parents found this little church in Spring, TX, that took us in and took care of our family like we were their own. Paster Green made a huge impact on my very young mind and some of the teachings from then Still stick with me today! I´m sure "Jabo" is dancing in heaven watching his loved ones

It is most difficult to express how many thousands of souls have been touched by the life of Pastor Jabo Green. There are thousands around the world today that were touched by just knowing him. I am one that had my life enriched by having the privilege just to call him friend. A man dedicated to family and God. His life shall live on in the lives of his children, and extended family and all those that were blessed to have known him personally. Rest in peace my friend, waiting for that great morning when we all shall rise and meet again. Prayers for the entire Green family.

Remembering the earlier Golden year's when the gospel group I was privileged to be in was invited a couple of time's to His 'Humble Beginning's the Little White Church'!

My dad would listen to Him every day preaching on the radio! He was a Big Blessing to him & THOUSAND'S more!

In 1999 Pastor Green preached a sermon directly to me the morning I received the Holy Ghost. He told me that he had been watching me and that morning I was a born again Christian. Thanks Bishop for not giving up on me you will be in my heart and soul forever. Heaven has a great and true man of God to join all the great pastors that has gone before him. I´m 76 years old as of yesterday and I don´t remember a day without Jabo in our families life.
My Mom and Dad knew the Greens before I was born. My brothers Jimmy and Buddy were constant companions with Jabo in their youth, through marriages and raising families together...Polly and Jabo were the best of friends and more.
