Corbin Spitzer Obituary
Corbin enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time cooking for friends and family. He relished opportunities to make people laugh and loved being the life of the party. He also was an active member of St. Peter's United Methodist Church for 32 years, and served on the Board of Trustees.
Corbin is preceded in death by his father, Bill Spitzer. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Patty; son, Connor, and his wife Jessica; daughter, Lexy, and her husband Alan Bumpass; mother, Shirley; brother, Cullen, and his wife Jodie; nieces, Jordan, and her husband Neil Simpson, Jensen, and Jaye; brother-in-law, Joe Persohn, and his wife Lenita; and nephews Joseph, Joshua, and Jason Persohn.
An honest man, a loving son and brother, a caring uncle, a loyal friend, a passionate father, and a wonderful husband, Corbin - and his larger than life heart - will always be remembered.
Visitation will take place on Friday, September 5, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, located on 13001 Katy Freeway in Houston, Texas, 77079. A celebration of Corbin's life will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter's United Methodist Church, located at 20775 Kingsland Blvd in Katy, Texas, 77450. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the American Heart Association, or the Wounded Warriors Project.

So sorry to hear about Corbin. I just learned of his passing a couple of days ago and truly been taken back by the news. My fondest memories of Corbin has to be working at BSA and walking by Shirley's office in the afternoons around 2 p.m. He would always find time to sit in her office and have conversations with his mom, and not to mention eating all her mints and tootsie rolls off her desk. I admired so much the Mother/Son relation they shared. Truly a loving faimly , I can say I worked for and launched my career graduating from U of H.
