Its that time of year again and we are feeling the loss, once more. You are still in our prayers and thoughts. I don't think there is a day we don't think about you, summer was OUR time we shared it for 20 years and its hard to let go. We thank you for everything Danny, you gave so much and asked for so little. We love you and we miss you.

Diane-I was saddened to hear of your loss today especially when I was contacting you for one of our dear friends who had just lost her mother. I am so sorry I was not able to be there. We are all so far apart yet it seems like just yesterday we were all at Ford Park with no worries! Diane it is very hard to understand why our lives take the paths they do but stay focused and one day we will all be together again with those that have gone before us. I pray for your strength and comfort. Your info to me today may be part of Bubba's path. Dear Diane And Chasse Family,
My deepest sympathy goes out to the entire family,Danny was a cousin of mine,and though its been a long time, I still have fond memories when I was young going up to Maine with my mom dad and sister for one week in the summertime. I just was in Maine last september,it had been 24 years since my last visit,and you know I made a point to see the house you all lived in,and again I could remember all the fish Uncle Gilman caught and cooked for a meal,that seemed like it was just yesterday. Brian that is great picture of you and your family,your son looks just like you when you were his age. Maybe we will see each other again some day.

Dear Chasse Families, My deepest smypathy to you. Danny was an upperclassmen, I was an underclassmen in high school. There was something very special about Danny that doesn't come along everyday in ones life - wherever he was there was always laughter, and when he was on the basketball court oh how we cheered him on - he was a great team player! He gave his all! Now he is most definitely on a winning team, so let's continue to cheer for him to keep his memory alive. May memories ease your pain and lighten your heavy hearts.

To those of us from the BIG town of Grand Isle we warmly remember Danny and his contagious smile. Those many bus trips to and from Van Buren during Basketball season and those COUNTLESS hours of practice @ Norm Doucette's house bring back many fond memories!!! Dearest Chasse Family,
Some of the best memories of my life as a fromer Van Buren Coach include my first year as a head coach for the Crusaders. Danny was my starting forward. He was a steady athletic player with a great smile and determined work ethic. This work ethic followed him throughout his life. You can imagine my great sadness when I heard of Danny's passing. In his short life, he accomplished so much. He left behind so many memories and good friends. Danny was a member of the first Van Buren team to make the tournament and will always be with me and his former teammates. My deepest sympathies to the Chasse family. There was never a room that wasn't immediately brightened by that smile, never a friend whose life wasn't enriched by Dan's friendship, and never a person in need who couldn't find help in Dan's warm embrace. I was always curious as to how his shirts could stay so freshly starched at the end of an evening. There is little doubt that God has found an angel to help lighten all burdens with those Chasse calves. We miss you tremendously, but find strength in the knowledge that Heaven is now a better place. We love you, Dan.

Dan (big brother), you’ve been the glue that’s held your brothers and sister together for so many years. You once told me that as long as you were alive you’d do anything for us and you’ve done that and a whole lot more. We can never repay you for what you’ve done for this family.
