Daniel Gonzalez Obituary
Daniel had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed entertaining his family and friends. He was the "Rock" and patriarch of the Gonzalez family. Everyone looked to him for his advice and expertise or just his words of encouragement. Daniel loved horses, riding his Harley-Davidson, and being well-dressed in his starched shirt and jeans. He never met a stranger and could walk into a room or step on an elevator and make friends with everyone in minutes. Daniel will forever be remembered for his big heart, being a wonderful provider for his family and his generous nature. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
A visitation and rosary for Daniel will be held on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581. The visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 pm and the Rosary will be recited beginning at 6:30 pm. The Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, November 7, 2013 at 10:00 am at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church, 5430 W. Ridge Creek Dr., Houston, Texas 77053. Interment will follow at Forest Park Cemetery in Houston. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.claytonfuneralhomes.com.

Tio, you stepped in a couple of times to put money in my pocket or a lesson in my ear, and each time, you did it with love and authority. For that I respect you so much. I remember you calling me for something a few months ago,, and it was an honor, because for the first time, I felt like I could help you after everything you had done for my father and me. I wished I could have done more. Looking at pictures of you tonight, I thought, "He's so photogenic", and I also I wondered how many others you lifted up in your life. Many! I will always remember you as the "Marlboro Man" and a man with a warm heart, an inviting smile, and always a good story. Thank you for taking care of your family. Thank you for loving my Tia all these years, and thank you thank you for YOU. Thank you for your life. It completely enriched mine. We will never ever forget you, Tio.
