When I think of Dan, I think of his strength, compassion, intelligence, wit, bearing and his passion for his work, his life and his love, Carol. While his challenges overshadowed the last part of his life, how he handled those continues to be an inspiration to us all. He was blessed to have dear Carol, such a caring, loving, and steadfast soul mate, who anticipated his needs, oftimes before he could even voice them and guided him lovingly, compassionately, passionately through his later trials. I will miss you Dan, but have in me so many wonderful memories of you and my dear sis, Carol. My thoughts, prayers and love are with you dear Carol. Your wonderful loving care of Dan has garnered you a most special place in Heaven...but know God isn't done with you yet -- his thanks for caring for one of his children will come in bouquets of faith, hope and love from all you hold most dear - and more you have yet to meet.
In light, joy and love, Paulette

As a younger man Dan took care of others, as an older man Carol took care of Dan. May your love live on and may you remember all the good things that you enjoyed together.

Without question the most interesting man I have ever had the priviledge of knowing. Dan was my friend and my confidant, and allowed me entry into his world. I will miss his wit, his candor, but most of all his integrity.
Rest well my friend.
