Crosby For 15 years the struggle did carry on Neither Death nor Man relenting, till someone had won The man faced Death, Chin to ChinNever doubting for a moment that he would win For 8 years Death saw a plight As he could not overcome the Man's will to fight Abruptly Death charged back in And again the Man did face him, Chin to Chin The Man's conscious will, however, was much too strong And only as he slept, could Death do him wrong And as the tired Man's body did fall fast asleep With his Prize, Death, did away slowly creep
