1931-2017
Darrell Pamplin, 86, long-time resident of Sugar Land, Texas passed away on November 29, 2017. He was born on July 20, 1931 in Lometa, Texas.
Darrell is preceded in death by his father, Grove E. Pamplin; his mother, Mary Dellis Bunch; his sister, Heloise Pamplin Adams; his brother, Roland Edgar Pamplin; his wife, Ida Lee Sliger Pamplin; his daughter, LaWanna Pamplin Hemphill and his son-in-law, Rick D. Pogue.
Survivors include his daughters, Laura Pogue and Vivian Dimmock; sons-in-law, Chris Dimmock and Duane Hemphill; grandchildren, Robin Browne and husband, Nathan of Sugar Land, Mark Hemphill and wife, Mikayla of Cat Spring, Jeremy Dimmock, Darrell Pamplin and Micah Pogue and wife, Chrissy; 7 great grandchildren, Logan & Madeline Browne, Heidi & Hayes Hemphill, Tanner Pamplin, and Zachary & Grayson Pogue; along with other family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Monday, December 4, 2017, in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 5, 2017 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home with interment following at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
For those wishing, memorials may be made to Great Oaks Baptist Church in Richmond, Texas.

We are so shocked to hear this sad news. My wife and I just talked to Mr. Pamplin at Food Town grocery store may two weeks ago. He seemed to be doing fine, we talked a while and then parted ways. Thoughts and Prayers to all the family.
