David Vernor Frederking 11/20/42 – 8/14/2023. David Frederking, 80, of Houston, Texas, passed away on August 14, 2023. He and his beautiful wife Carole were both native Houstonians. He attended Kinkaid High School and the University of Texas. David loved being around other people and hearing their stories. He could talk to anyone. He always wanted to hear what you had been doing, especially if it was unusual or funny. David spent many years as a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and later at St. Timothy Lutheran Church. He was also a frequent visitor at Memorial Lutheran Church. David loved all sports. He played golf for most of his life, was an avid Astros fan and watched his granddaughters play sports as much as possible. He loved being with his friends and playing golf at River Oaks Country Club. As a young Dad he spent countless hours at Post Oak Little League and Briargrove pool as a coach and parent. In his later years, David was a wonderful and goofy Grandpa. He always wanted to hear what the granddaughters had going on.
David was preceded in death by his parents Wilbur and Helen Frederking and his brother Dan Frederking. He is survived by his wife Carole, sons Will and Greg Frederking, daughters in law Kim and Nicole Frederking, granddaughters Margaret, Meredith, Courtney, Haley and Mia, and his sister Margaret Ann Barton.
A funeral service and reception will be held at St. Timothy Lutheran Church located at 14225 Hargrave Road, Houston, TX 77070 on Friday, August 25, 2023 at 11am.

My condolences to Carole and the rest of the family. Dave was my first accountant and financial adviser when I started Adcraft and we spent many productive years working with each other. Dave had a great sense of humor and we shared many laughs. He will be missed.

David never met a stranger, was always interested in a person's background and had a colorful sense of humor! He was very helpful and many Financial areas and certainly interesting to work with at different times. My sincere condolences to you, Carole, and your family.

Dave was known at ROCC for his disarming, irreverent one-liners. He maintained his good humor even after he became disabled and knew that his remaining days were slipping away. He will be sorely missed.

The obituary captured Dave's interest in people. I have so many blessed memories with David. I was fortunate to share the Astros season tickets with him and his brother. He was so kind to my mother who was so eager to go to the games.
I will grieve his departure but not despair; heaven is our home.
