To the Garrison Family,

I have just learned of David's passing. It has been a priviledge and pleasure to have known David since high school. His accomplishments were many, but his friendship was unique. May God's blessings be with him and with the family of which he was so proud.

Lucia, Christian and I will always remember David. He was selfless, generous to a fault, practiced true Southern hospitality, non-addicted to our politically correct world, a sincere up-front Christian, and a gentleman in all that word connotes. Requiescat in pace. Godspeed.

Dear Garrison Family, Accept my profound sympathies and sincere prayers on David's passing. I heartily endorse and expand upon the shared characterizations of him as a wonderful, compassionate, generous, and truly noble man and confrere. I best knew him in the 1970s and 80s but fully comprehend that his genuine greatness of spirit continued to grow bringing cheer and grace to us all.

It has been my pleasure to serve with David on the Southern Region Trust Fund Committee for the past three years. During that time we visited several times about my son's doctoral subject - Pope Julius II. David was a generous, warm-hearted individual who had several passions, one of which was Scouting. It was a joy to see him at the National Jamboree this past summer. I will miss him, and his friendship deeply. My prayers are with the Garrison family.

Kelly, John and I were very sad to learn of the illness and passing of David. When we think of our precious times in Houston, David looms large as we recall his warm and welcoming disposition. Kelly and John will forever cherish their hunting trips with David and Alix, quite a unique experience for Yankees! We offer our deepest sympathies to Robin, Alix and all the Garrisons on this tremndous loss. We hope you find comfort in the knowledge that David's life was richly blessed with your love and devotion. I imagine he is already immersed in an even greater love and peace in the arms of God. With Love, Marion Madigan and family

David was the brother I never had. I will always be grateful for the leadership he provided as we worked together to bring a better quality of life for the Coushatta people in Allen Parish, LA. He was such a giving individual and concerned for those less fortunate. In my admiration of David, I named my fifth son after him. David is now on the tribal council serving the Coushatta people. I will miss him.

My best to his family and many friends.

David's friendship, compassion and honesty meant a great deal to me. In particular, two incidents were etched in my memory. Most recently, the "duck hunting retreat" to Louisiana in December 2004 has memories that those of us who attended will never forget. Secondly, about five years ago Mike and Laura Sullivan, Paris and Beatriz de l'Etraz, Father Pham, and myself were guests of David at the birthday dinner for the head of the French Royal Family in Paris. There was an obvious error in the seating at the dinner in that I was seated at the head table with the Count of Paris, instead of David. I tried to switch seats with David, but he would not hear of it. He preferred to sit with his friends from the US! Suffice it say, it was a memorable evening for all. I will never forget David and he will always live in our memories.

By now David has probably found out where the Garrison family originated and will undoubtedly be with all of his family that have gone before him. Most importantly, he will be with our Lord.

Our sympathy goes out to Gardiner, Amy and the Garrison Family upon the loss of David. I have fond memories of David when I was a child. He was the most fun adult I had ever met. I remember dressing up along with my niece in some military uniforms from the 1800's that were in his office closet. How cool was that? The great times in Lake Charles and at Big Lake. I will always keep a special place in my heart for David and remember the fun times that we had. I will also be so thankful to him for blessing me with such a wonderful nephew, Gardiner. God bless you, David and rest in peace and comfort.

I was saddened to hear of the passing of David Garrison. Our Heraldry Society of Scotland has lost a fine man. He was a supporter to quite a few organizations and a friend to many persons. Got to spend a few days with him in September 2004 and found him a kindly person and unfailingly helpful... My deepest sympathies to his family and friends.

He will be missed ! His soul is in my prayers. RIP.

Mayra and I deeply mourn the passing of our friend, confrere and chivalric mentor. We pray for his eternal rest, in the company of our Saviour, as well as for Robin and their family.

As the Lord , in His infinite weisom, has seen fit to recall His noble knight and servant to the Heavenly Court, may all of us ask from our beloved friend his intercessions from heaven.
