David Lynn Ishmael, beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away at home on December 25, 2025 surrounded by his family. David was born on March 31, 1955 in Enid, OK. He enjoyed his career in the oil and gas industry for 38 years.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Jamie, and his children Jessica Lyons (John), William Ishmael (Brittany), and Rebecca Ishmael, his 8 grandchildren, his brother Rex Ishmael and his sister Tammy Hodge Vallejos. He was preceded by his parents Billy and Alma Ishmael.
The Memorial will be held at The Grove Church, 8200 Washington Ave., Houston, TX on January 3rd at 10:30am.

My name is Gordon, and I had the privilege of working closely with Dave for four years. He came to Brecksville, Ohio to do extraordinary work for us, and I still remember our very first meeting at Lockkeepers, with our spouses beside us for that warm and hopeful introduction. When he accepted our offer and joined the company, I was genuinely thrilled.
What followed was a period of remarkable success-success made possible in no small measure by Dave´s exceptional skill, integrity, professionalism, and the relationships he carried with him. Very quickly, he earned the respect and affection of everyone around him. Dave was valued not only for what he accomplished, but for the light he brought into every room.
I learned of this great loss only by chance this afternoon, and my heart turns toward his wife, Jamie, who now walks through an immense test of the spirit. May she be upheld by strength beyond her own, and may grace surround her in every step. I remember her, as I remember Dave, as children of God-held, guided, and never alone.
May Dave Ishmael-my friend and my colleague-rest in peace, and may his soul continue its journey in the radiance of God´s presence. And thank you, Dave, and thank you, Jamie, for all you gave and all you made possible through your work and the sacrifices you made in moving from Texas to Ohio for those years. Because of your efforts, my family and I are where we are today.
