JONESBORO - Kyle Jackson Ishmael, 42, of Jonesboro, departed this life Friday, Feb. 20, 2026, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. He was born in Jonesboro and lived in the Jonesboro area his entire lifetime. Jackson was a 2001 graduate of Westside High School and of the Christian faith. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for Kee Construction of Jonesboro. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, coaching basketball, and supporting his children in their endeavors in theatre arts and team sports. He was an avid firework enthusiast, bringing joy to many with his firework shows. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Sarah Popejoy and George "Jack" Popejoy.
He leaves behind his wife, Dianna Ishmael, and their two children, Emma and Luke, all of the home. He is also survived by his parents, Alvie Ishmael of Jonesboro and Nancy (Bart) Benson of Trumann; one brother, Micah Ishmael of Jonesboro; one sister, Robin Crawford of Brooksville, Fla; and one step-brother, Bo Benson of Trumann.
The family will receive friends today from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann. A celebration of life will follow at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel with Reverend Don Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro.
Pallbearers will be Allen Brown, Ryan Lipscomb, Brenton Bush, Dewayne Glover, Shane Camp, and James.
A meal for family, friends, and co-workers will be provided immediately following the burial at Harmony Gardens, 4517 E. Parker Road in Jonesboro.
