Don't know if this was my 7th and 8 th grade coach in bridgeport texas, but if he was I am saddened. What a guy!!!! I am 57 yrs old now and have thought of him often. My prayers go out to the family.
A friend of mine and I were talking tonight about a junior high game back about 1971 with coach Key as our coach. Came in and googled his name and found this. To this day I remember him as a wonderful man! Got a couple of good stories if you want to hear them. (940) 255-1721. (At least I think they are good stories)

Dear Daddy,

It's hard to believe that yesterday was two whole years since you went to live with God and to be with the love of your life. It was a very emotional day for me. Lexi always amazes me how she knows things although no one tells or reminds her. She broke into tears several times during the day. We are happy that you are no longer sick and in pain, that you are living in your heavenly home with momma, that we will see you both again one day; but we miss you every single day.

Love you always,
Cyndee & Lexi

Merry Christmas, Daddy. I know you are having a GREAT Christmas up there with God. Yesterday Pam & I talked about memories of you that we knew would make you laugh. I miss you laughter, but I know we will be together again one day. I love you, Daddy. Although we all miss you greatly, we are thankful that you are in Heaven.

Lexi woke up this morning saying "Mom, today is Grandpa's birthday, can we sing to him?" So, we sang "Happy Birthday" to you, Daddy. I can imagine you are having the best birthday ever. We love you.

Dear Daddy,

I thought of you today, but that is nothing new. I thought about you yesterday, and days before that too. I think of you in silence, I often speak your name. All I have are memories and many pictures in frames. Your memory is a keepsake, from which I'll never part. I am thankful God has you in his arms now, and you are no longer sick or in pain. I love you very much and you will always be a huge part of my life.

I remember when I was little and you would hold me and just talk to me and make everything better. I miss those days, but I know that one day we'll be together again. I love you.

Love,
Cyndee

I met Dean at Owens School when I was 9 years old. Although I only saw him a few times after graduating with him at May High School, I considered him a fine friend, fun loving with a terrific sense of humor. The Class of 1955 are very sad to learn of his passing. We cherish our friendship with Dean and will forever remember him.

Today is exactly 3 months since you went away, daddy, and I just wanted to say that you are in our thoughts every day. I am very thankful that you are no longer sick or in pain, but I do miss you greatly. I thank God for letting you be my daddy and Granddad to my girls. I know we will see you again one day and that does help. I love you so very much.

You had best mischievous laugh that I've ever known...might be where my children inherited it. I miss you and that amazing grin filled with such joy and happiness.

Dear Pam & Cyndee, I am so glad you girls decided to put your dad's obituary in the paper. I know many of his friends and former students did not know of his illness and passing. He fought a couragous battle but at least we know he is not suffering anymore.
We know he is in Heaven with loved ones looking down on us. He was a great brother and we miss him very much. GOD BLESS!
