Deborah Scanlan Obituary

Deborah J. Scanlan
1956-2017
Deborah J Scanlan passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 13th in Houston, surrounded by family.
Debbie was born in Pittsburgh, PA to August and Elizabeth Rumski on December 15, 1956. She is survived by her husband, Tim Scanlan, son Chris Scanlan and wife Marina, daughter Colleen West and husband Jason, her siblings Duane Rumski, Karen Kramer, Kevin Rumski, Brian Rumski, and Kathy Rumski, along with their families, her parents, and her grandchildren, Andre, Alex, Willow and Nathan.
Debbie never met a stranger and welcomed everyone with open arms and a loving heart. She was the life of the party and had a smile and personality that could light up any room. Her proudest achievement was her two children. She devoted her life teaching them to be the wonderful adults and parents that they are today. Her greatest passion was her four grandchildren, which as she often mentioned made her so happy.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at 10:30 AM at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 625 Nottingham Oaks Trail, Houston, TX 77079. A reception will follow Holy Mass on the church campus. Visit www.DettlingFuneral.com to leave words of condolence for the family.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations in Debbie's name to Susan G. Komen.
