I worked for Dr Piot as a Registered Nurse from February 1988 until his first retirement in 1992, then returned when he came out of retirement to open the Plaza Clinical Treatment Center and remained with him there until he retired a second time in 1995. I was the Clinical Coordinator during the PCTC days. He demanded a great deal of those around him, but he also paid his office personnel exceedingly well. The welfare of his patients was always his first and greatest priority, and I believe he was unparalleled in the Houston medical community in that regard. And without his foresight, I would not have had the later incredible opportunities that I did. I will be forever grateful to him.

I will miss seeing Dr. Piot come through the doors at Dr. Gathe's office, to just say HI to us all and have a nice chat. I hope that Lauri, his close sister, is finding peace in knowing he has so many people who loved him.
