I may not have had the privilege of meeting Mrs. Drucie Chase in person, but if my professor and friend (Tony Chase) is even a glimpse of this lady, then she must have been a wonderful, generous, friendly, and loving mother and friend to many! Fly with the angels ma'am, and rest assuredly that your legacy lives on with your children and their children!

John & Drucie were quick to welcome my family when we joined Antioch. We all worked together when I was Treasurer and when my sister took over as Treasurer. My sister, Drucie and I shared such love at John's funeral. My sister and I spoke with her on occasion just to check-in with her. Andrea and Saundria were friends and John Jr. and I were friends. So sorry we did not know about her passing until afterwards. Much love for Drucie and the best to Anthony and Saundria.

I remember Mrs. Chase as a little girl as I played with her youngest Saundria. She was a statuesque and elegant woman as well, very kind to me. Condolences and prayers to the family. May the love of family and friends comfort you in your time of grief.

Days before Mrs. Chase’s transition, she so eloquently shared the story about their Houston home. The home was designed by her husband, the late John Chase and fellow UT Precursor, of course. Years ago her relative Mr. Leslie Rucker introduced my family to Drucie and John. Mr. Rucker and my father, civil rights pioneer , William Griffin were business partners in Griffin Motor Company, Houston, Texas.

May God's great Love and Peace be a comfort to you at this time and in the days to come. It was such a pleasure to see and hear her during the presentation last week. (My parents and I knew the Ruckers well.)

My sweet Aunt Drucie. You will be ever so missed, and we all love you, but GOD loved you best! (John 14:2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.) Rest well Aunt, until we meet again!!

The the Chase Family:
"The most beautiful people are those who bring out the beauty in others." Like her husband and your father, John, Mrs. Chase was a trailblazer who helped and encouraged many, like myself, on their journey through life. She was never lonely at the top due to her good works and her extensive network of people she befriended...always with class and a lovely smile. I am thankful for the pleasure of her friendship. Her loss is great, but her wonderful memories are even greater to help sustain and comfort your hearts now and forever.

My warmest condolences to the Chase family. I was honored to host Mr. and Mrs. Chase in my home as well as lead an honorarium for her husband at the NOMA conference in Houston in 2018. Mrs. Chase always spoke highly of me and I was always humbled.
