So sorry to hear of Drucie Raye's passing. We just found out today. We have enjoyed many outings with Drucie and John when Aunt Elmira was alive. Our condolences.
Cousins,
Shifton and Arlena Baker

I may not have had the privilege of meeting Mrs. Drucie Chase in person, but if my professor and friend (Tony Chase) is even a glimpse of this lady, then she must have been a wonderful, generous, friendly, and loving mother and friend to many! Fly with the angels ma'am, and rest assuredly that your legacy lives on with your children and their children!

John & Drucie were quick to welcome my family when we joined Antioch. We all worked together when I was Treasurer and when my sister took over as Treasurer. My sister, Drucie and I shared such love at John's funeral. My sister and I spoke with her on occasion just to check-in with her. Andrea and Saundria were friends and John Jr. and I were friends. So sorry we did not know about her passing until afterwards. Much love for Drucie and the best to Anthony and Saundria.

I remember Mrs. Chase as a little girl as I played with her youngest Saundria. She was a statuesque and elegant woman as well, very kind to me. Condolences and prayers to the family. May the love of family and friends comfort you in your time of grief.

Days before Mrs. Chase’s transition, she so eloquently shared the story about their Houston home. The home was designed by her husband, the late John Chase and fellow UT Precursor, of course. Years ago her relative Mr. Leslie Rucker introduced my family to Drucie and John. Mr. Rucker and my father, civil rights pioneer , William Griffin were business partners in Griffin Motor Company, Houston, Texas.
