Edward Konicki Obituary

EDWARD D. KONICKI, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend passed away on July 25, 2007. Ed was born in New Geneva, Pennsylvania on December 13, 1947 and has been a long time Kingwood resident. Ed is preceded in death by his father and mother Joseph and Mary Konicki. He leaves a lifetime of wonderful memories to his wife Elizabeth, children Erik and daughter-in-law Roberta, Elizabeth and son-in-law Jimmy Kelly, Edie, and Elliott, brothers and sisters Fran Konicki, Connie Pines, Mark Konicki, Mary Ann McCarthy, Albert Konicki and Doris Courtney, grandchildren Hunter and Jacqueline Kelly, and Alexandra and Abigail Konicki, and many nieces and nephews. All of whom will miss him dearly. Ed enjoyed giving of himself to his family and friends and educational pursuits. He especially enjoyed volunteering for little league baseball, racing with the Sports Car Club of America, his time with the Shelby Club and driving and maintaining his mustangs and sunbeam tiger. Ed attended college at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He was a veteran of the U.S. Airforce. He also was the founder and President of Mass Spec Resources Inc. His pursuits lead him through a gifted and blessed life. Friends are cordially invited to a visitation on Saturday, July 28, 2007 at four o'clock in the afternoon until eight o'clock that evening at the Bradshaw-Carter Home, 1734 West Alabama St., Houston, TX 77098. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 30, 2007 at St. Anne Catholic Church, 2140 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77098 at half past ten in the morning with interment following at Glenwood Cemetery. Donations in memory of Ed Konicki can be made to the Texas Heart Institute. Online tributes may be posted at www.bradshawcarter.com.
