Evelyn Reichenthal, aged 98, loving mother, Grandma, Bubby and Super Bubby, died peacefully, surrounded by her children and grandchildren, on Sunday, January 29, 2023.
Evelyn was born in Houston on August 3, 1924 to Max and Florence Moore. She graduated from San Jacinto High School in 1942.
While living in NYC in her early 20's after WWII, she met the love of her life, Sidney. They married in Houston on August 24, 1949. During their 50 wonderful years together, they raised 3 children, traveled the world together and enjoyed their multitude of friends and family.
She was an advocate for General and Jewish Education for special needs children, a dedicated volunteer for AMIT, United Orthodox Synagogues and Seven Acres, where she volunteered -- entertaining the residents into her mid-90s. She is survived by her children Max and Susan Reichenthal, Sandy and Myron Friedman, Ellen Reichenthal, her 6 grandchildren, Asher, Eitan, Naomi, Nathan, Jaclyn and Ariel, as well as her 12 great grandchildren.
A funeral service will take place at United Orthodox Synagogues on Monday, January 30th. at 11:00 AM and will be followed by the burial at Adath Israel Cemetery on Airline Drive at 1:00 PM.

Evelyn was a wonderful
neighbor who lived two doors away on Cliffwood back in our "kids raising" days... She LOVED HER FAMILY DEARLY... was always ready to lend a helping hand... when we lost power during one of the hurricanes... we ran extension cords between our houses as she didn´t lose power! We had about an hour phone visit a year ago that I´ll treasure forever! She LOVED LIFE! GOD BLESS!
