Obituary for Felicia C. Costa (née Carhart)
Felicia C. Costa, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister-in-law, aunt, and friend, passed away surrounded by her loving family on September 27, 2025. She was born on November 25, 1935, in Long Beach, California to Warren and Helen Carhart.
Felicia pursued higher education at the University of Texas Dental School, where she earned her degree in dental hygiene, and also met the love of her life, Donald Russell Costa. They were blessed to share sixty wonderful years of marriage, building a life together rooted in love, faith, family, and community. She cared deeply about health and wellbeing and carried that same dedication into the way she nurtured her loved ones and all who were fortunate to know her.
She is preceded in death by Donald, her cherished daughter Robin Costa, and her dear sister-in-law Eva Costa.
Felicia was a woman of remarkable grace and quiet strength. She loved playing golf, gathering with friends, and was an active member of her community, but her greatest joy was always her family.
She is survived by her loving children: Mark Costa (Susan), Kyle Costa (Lynda), and Kelly Costa (Melissa); and by her adoring grandchildren: Jackelyn Costa Owens (Billy), Erin Costa, Joshua Costa, Makenzi Costa, and Caden Costa; and great-grandchildren Blayne Owens and Branson Owens.
Felicia is also survived by her brother-in-law Victor Costa (Jerry Ann), nephew Kevin Costa, and niece Adrienne Costa, who loved her dearly.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in honor of Felicia at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 23, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rockport, Texas, as she lovingly requested. Family and friends are invited to join in celebrating her life.
