Ferdinand Gus (F.G.) Seeberger Jr.

Ferdinand Gus (F.G.) Seeberger Jr., 90, of Tomball, passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2025. He was born March 8, 1934, in Houston, Texas to Ferdinand Gus "Sonny" and Ida Legendre Seeberger. He graduated from Lamar High School (Houston) in 1952, attended Rice University and University of Houston. He received an Executive MBA from Pepperdine University 1979.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Cecile Seeberger, and his son, Lloyd Seeberger.
He is survived by daughter Kathy and husband Jeff Gregory of College Station and granddaughter Gayla Gregory of College Station.
F.G. grew up in Houston and in 1957 married the love of his life, Cecile. He was an avid fisherman, traveler, "fix-it" man, and had knowledge of everything. He went to work at Texas Instruments in 1962. While at T.I. he worked on numerous projects at General Motors, GM Delco, Whirlpool, was a key member of the results team for the 1984 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid, NY, and received a patent with two of his colleagues, for a hand-held unit code reader. F.G. retired from T.I. in 1988. In 1991 he went to work for Compaq where he retired once again in 1996. F.G. and Cecile loved to spend time with family, friends and especially their granddaughter, at the lake house he built on Houston County Lake. He and Cecile went on numerous trips across the U.S. and to Europe with family and friends. F.G. was an avid Astros and Texas Aggie fan. He made a lasting impression on those around him and will be missed dearly.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Klein Funeral Home Chapel, 1400 W. Main in Tomball. The family will receive visitors prior to the service beginning at 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be sent to the Texas A&M Foundation, 401 George Bush Drive, College Station, Texas 77840. Please designate the gift to be in memory of F.G. I did not know Ferdinand. I came across his obituary while looking for a friend that recently passed away.
I too am named Ferdinand. But what struck me is that my middle name starts with a G, and my last name also starts with a S! I am also F.G.S.
