Frances Boone Carsten

FRANCES BOONE CARSTEN, "Fran" to her friends, "Honey" to her Grandchildren, went to Heaven Friday, June 18, 2004. She was born December 20, 1924 in Berkley, Ca. to Dr. & Mrs. W.R. Boone. Fran had a wonderful sense of humor, she loved books, crossword puzzles, playing bridge and dancing. She enjoyed her volunteer work at the Harris County Spring Branch Memorial Library in Houston. She is survived by husband of 59 years, Frank Carsten; daughters, Andrea English and husband Bill of Arlington, Marsha Thompson and husband Jack of Houston and Wendy Benestante of Austin; grandchildren, June Vanzant and husband Michael, Heather Howard and husband Brian and Julie Cooper and husband Mark; grandsons, Burt Boyd, Clayton Heilman, Chris Benestante, Jeff Boyd and Bradley English; great grandchildren, Haley and Joe Howard, Jane Vanzant and Colin Cooper; brothers, W.R. Boone of Pebble Beach, Ca. and Mr. & Mrs. R.L. Boone of Walnut Creek Ca.; sister and brother-in-law, Mr. & Mrs. Jack Webber of Naperville, Il.; brother-in-law, Jack Carsten of Houston. Special thanks to her wonderful friends, Susan Forney and Diana Clark. Thanks also to Dr. Harry Price & staff, Sarah Walker, Susan Compton, David DeVido and Briargrove Pharmacy Staff. Visitation will be Monday June 21, 2004 from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday June 22, 2004 with Rev. M. Eugene Vickrey officiating.
