Frances Frame Obituary

Frances "Bunny" Frame Funeral services for Frances Cheatham (Bunny) Frame will be held at 10:00am, Saturday, July 14, 2012, at the Metcalf Funeral Home, Conroe, Texas. Reverend Merle Blado will be officiating. Interment will be at Conroe Memorial Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be Friday, July 13, from 5:00 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Metcalf Funeral Home.
Frances Frame was born in Willis, Texas on October 21, 1920 to parents Edward and Claudia Cheatham. She went to be with her Savior on July 11, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Elmer C. Frame. She was the middle of 3 sisters, who preceded her in death. Survivors include a daughter Carol Brown, and son-in-law Dennis Brown of Conroe, and son David Frame and daughter-in-law Charlotte Frame, of Spring Texas. Grandchildren include Clayton Brown, David Frame, Edward Frame, and Douglas Frame. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive including several that held a special place in her heart, Donald Osburn and James Hargrave; and lifelong family friend Luzella Richards.
Bunny was a lifelong resident of Montgomery County, living most of her life in Conroe. She graduated from Willis High School in 1938, moving to Houston for a short time thereafter where she attended business school and worked for Shell Oil. Bunny moved back to Conroe in 1940 working for the Griffin Abstract Company in the Montgomery County Clerk's Office. From 1954, to 1966, she worked for Dr. Melvin Hutchins, and then for the Conroe Independent School District as a clerk in the tax office and finance department, retiring from the CISD with 29 years of service. During her 55 years of employment, she met, greeted, and served countless Montgomery County residents and businesses establishing friendships with many people throughout the County. At the same time, she was a devoted wife and mother.
She joined the Park Memorial Baptist Church in Houston Feb 11th, 1940. In April 1958, Bunny moved her letter to the First Baptist Church of Conroe, where she attended faithfully for 54 years, greeting the members and her many friends at the Sunday morning service for the past 15 years.
Most of her retirement years were spent serving her Church and spending time with her family and friends, traveling with church members, cooking, and taking special interest in her grandchildren. With a sharp memory for detail, many researchers called on her for her recollections of Montgomery County events, individuals, and families. When asked recently about her experiences, she said "I thank God for the memories of all those wonderful days."

My deepest condolences to the family. I just found out about Bunny's passing & was so saddened to hear it. I worked with Bunny back in the 70's at the school tax office & learned a lot from her! She was such a lovely person. Her vast knowledge of Conroe & Montgomery County will surely be missed! God's blessings to the family.

I had the pleasure of meeting Ms.Bunny at the Curves in Conroe. For months we did our workout together and would talk. I also had the pleasure of helping her out at her home for a short time. She was always so thankful that I would come but I was the one thankful. I so enjoyed my time and talks with her. She always spoke so highly of her family and I know they meant so much to her. She will forever have a special place in my heart. There was no other like Ms. Bunny. She was sharp as a tack and her wit was unremarkable :) Another angel went home. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family.

My condolences to the family of Ms. Frame. May you be comforted by looking forward to a time when all those asleep in death will have the prospect of resuming life again free from all causes of death and the heartaches it brings.

Bunny was one of the sweetest ladies I've ever known. Carol & David, my thoughts & prayers are with you. Your mother was truly loved by those who knew her, and I was lucky to be one of those people. I know you will miss her terribly. Love to the family,

Joe and I met Mrs. Frame at First Baptist Church, Conroe and had the priviledge to get to know her a little better on a church trip to Glen Erie, Colorado a few years ago. We also enjoyed sitting by her on many occasions during church services. She was a beautiful lady and we will miss seeing her when we go to church. We send our deepest sympathies to all of her family. Recent foot surgery will prevent me from attending her services but we will be praying for all of you and asking God to keep you close during this time. Sincerely, Nancy and Joe Bickley

Dave, Deepest sympathies in your time of grief and fond memories of your mother. Where will you get the fried chicken, potatoes and gravy?

We are "All" going to miss Bunny. I know Brien, Victoria and William do already. We had some great family time and food together. I guess this is the last time I get to send her flowers. Love, Denise
