Frances Harper Obituary

FRANCES JULIET HARPER, 89, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend walked into the arms of Jesus on Friday, January 3, 2003. Frances was born in Hale, Missouri to Ira and Julia Caulk on March 5, 1913, the youngest of eight brothers and sisters. Frances and her husband Bob accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior in 1947 and they served Him faithfully from that day forward at Houston's First Baptist Church. Frances brought fun to every gathering and loved life until the end. She was a wonderful wife and mother and viewed her role as homemaker as her highest calling. Frances was preceded in death by her parents and six of her siblings, her husband Bob Harper, daughter Glenda Conlay, and granddaughter, Shari Symank. She is survived by her daughter, Carole Lewis and husband Johnny; her brother, Harold Caulk and wife Blanche. Grandchildren, Lisa Cramer and husband Kent; John Lewis and wife Lisa; grandson in law, Jeff Symank; Bob Crawford and wife Charlene; Rick Crawford and wife Renee; Julie Evans and husband Raicko; and Bobby Conlay. Great grandchildren, Cara, Christen and Amanda Symank; Carl and Katherine Cramer; Tal, Hunter and Harper Lewis; Aaron and Jesse Crawford; Joshua and David Adkins. Visitation will be held from 5-8PM, Sunday, January 5, at Woodlawn Funeral Home. Family burial will be held at 9:00 AM, Monday, January 6, at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery. Memorial services will be held at 11:30 AM, Monday at Houston's First Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers please make memorial donations in memory of Frances Harper to the First Place program at Houston's First Baptist Church, 7401 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77024.
