I dated Gary in college and he was always so much fun. He loved to entertain the crowd and he could clear the dance floor with his outrageous dance moves. I'm so sorry to hear of his passing. My best to his family.

I first met Gary as an agent at New York Life. We immediately saw him as somebody that we could trust for sound advice. He always had time to talk things through and suggest some great ideas to help me be successful too. Always being there to help was the first reason I liked Gary. Anybody that met Gary, if even for a brief moment knew immediately that he was very friendly, very knowledgeable in his craft, the financial services business, and had a kind heart. The second thing I realized was that Gary was witty and very funny. We had some great laughs, and I’ll always remember those good times we had together. Gary often talked about his kids. He was so proud of them. I've never met Adrianne and Kevin, but I feel like I know them a little through conversations with Gary. He always saw the good things in people, especially when talking about his kids, they must me angels from heaven. When we parted ways in business, we kept up with each other for a while and had some really great laughs. I don't think I've ever laughed as hard as when I was with Gary, when at work, during lunch, dinner or events after work. I'm sorry to have recently lost touch with Gary, just when he could have wanted my support the most. I'll always regret that. I guess that's one final thing Gary taught me, to always keep up and support your friends (especially friends like Gary). My prayers go out to Gary's family, especially his parents and Kevin and Adrianne, and all of his close friends. I know that Gary is with God in Heaven right now, no more worries, no more pain. I will miss you Gary, thanks for being my friend and for the memories you left with us.

I met Gary through Brian and The Rosenes at the Czech Center Museum Houston. He was a wonderful tour guide, and friend. Not to mention that he was a tremendous help during Events. Gary effortlessly diffused situations between the clients when there was a heated discussion. He also calmed me down when I was stressed with his optimistic viewpoint during the moment at hand and life in general. He was funny and made work enjoyable with his quick wit. Two vivid memories I have when I worked with Gary: 1) He was volunteering as a Champagne Prep at one of the big Weddings and when Gary, Brian, the bartenders and I went to prep Champagne Flutes 45 minutes before the Champagne Toast, we found 100 flutes put away dirty. I was a nervous wreck and somehow he was calm and told me not to worry. Gary helped me hand wash and dry all of those flutes, the Champagne was served as scheduled and guests never knew about our problem. 2) Another instance occurred when I asked Gary to volunteer for another Wedding held at the Czech Center. He was a natural greeter and I knew that I could count on Gary to make strangers feel at home at the Museum. At 8:00 p.m. when we all had a few minutes to eat, Gary was less concerned about the main course and more excited about tasting the cake. Since I am not much of a sweet person, I let him have my slice of cake too! Thank you Gary for all of the good times and also for making the less than perfect times better for me just by being there and being you!
Love,

As a neighbor, friend, and fellow Parkinsonian Gary will be sorely missed. He was always positive, eager to learn, and helpful. In the Parkinson's support group he helped load the car, set up the meeting room, and then clean up at the end. He was truly a special person.

Such fond memories of good times with Gary ... Playing FARKLE, rooting for the Astros in the Astrodome, dancing to the Rolling Stones in the Astrodome, Jazz Fest, celebrating St. Pat's at the Shamrock Hotel, Derby Day, Austin, San Marcos river float, just to remember a few. We will never forget Gary and how he embraced us when we were new to Houston.

Dear Adrianne,
I love the scripture, that to be absent from the body is to present with the Lord. Your dad is now in the arms of a loving God.
May angels surround you and your family during the weeks to come and may the peace that passes all understanding be yours.
Love and major hugs!
