George Cralle Obituary

GEORGE L. CRALLE born September 20, 1918, in East St. Louis, IL., passed away August 24, 2009. He served as an officer in the Army during WWII with the America Division in the South Pacific. He was awarded the Purple Heart, Air Medal and Oak Leaf Cluster on the Island of Bougainville. He retired from the Army Reserves in 1978. George graduated from Washington University, St.Louis, MO., with a BS Degree in Geological Engineering in 1950. He earned his LLB from South Texas College of Law in 1960. He was a Charter Member and Treasurer of Delta Theta Phi Fraternity (Townes Chapter). He retired from Exxon and practiced law in Houston, Texas. He is survived by his wife Phyllis Archer Cralle of 63 years. A daughter Nan Esker (Larry) of Sealy, Texas. Four Granddaughters - Lisa Matz (Charles) of Dallas, Michelle McDorman of Abilene, Christy Johnson, Tracy Rucker and his best friend, Willie, of Sealy, Texas. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2009 from 5 PM until 7 PM at Knesek Bros. Hwy 36 Chapel, 1140 Meyer in Sealy. Graveside services will be held Monday, August 31 in Waterloo, Illinois.
