George Gabriles

George Antonio
Gabriles was born on June 24, 1926 in Barcelona, Spain to Dimitrius and Maria Cohen Gabriles. He passed away 6/30/2013. He volunteered for the Navy on June 12, 1944 as a sub mariner. He served until June 14, 1946.
He began a 15 year career with Monsanto in Texas City, TX. He left Monsanto in 1969 to work for Mallay Company in Freeport, TX. After Mallay, he became an entrepreneur and owned Maencor, Houston and Freeport locations, Moore's Electric, Air- Tech, Tuff-Kote and Brazoria Aviation Enterprises.
George is survived by his first wife, Delphia Reeder Gabriles, and 4 children, Glenda Muir and husband Gilbert, Gary Gabriles and wife Donna, Jerel Gabriles and wife Charlotte, Lorie Copus and husband Dennis and stepson Brian Burnham, brothers Alex Gabriles, Jimmy Gabriles and wife Delores, 6 Grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
George is preceded in death by his parents, his second wife, Brooke Burnham Gabriles, brother Louis Gabriles and sister-in-law Mary Lois, brother-in- law, John Reeder, and grandson Grant Muir.
Visitation will be Friday July 5, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Lakewood Funeral Home in Lake Jackson. Service will be Saturday July 6, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Lakewood Funeral Home.
