The Urban Dictionary defines family in the following way:

A group of people, usually of the same blood (but do not have to be), who genuinely love, trust, care about, and look out for each other. Not to be mistaken with relatives sharing the same household who hate each other. REAL family is a bondage that cannot be broken by any means.

George Samuel Lundy was indeed my family. After 30 years of sharing all of life's joys and pains, on today, his 81st birthday, I want to express just how much I miss his presence in my family. Popo we love you and miss you!! You will FOREVER live in our hearts, minds and souls!

To my big brother GS, from your baby sister. Thats what I called you until 1st grade and the teacher, asked me to spell it. Then I started to call you George but you will always be GS to me.

Oh how I loved to be by your side,
Knowing I was welcome to sat there
From the gleam in your eyes.

Not enough words to express how Ill
miss you.
Volumes of literature have yet to be written
Of my love for you

Mr. Lundy was the dad all the boys on Idaho and Gren streets looked up to because he was always clean and really cool. We are close if you need us.

Mr. Lundy was a wonderful man who listened without "judgement" and always made time for conversation . He was always easy to approach and always greeted with a smile . He was certainly one of the "coolest" parents I ever met ! The Lundy household was always welcoming for friendly visits . God welcomes a "true gentleman 'into his kingdom.

Did George work for Texaco? If so, I remember him well. He was a nice guy, always well dressed and very pleasant. I am so sorry for your loss. May memories of him always be music to your hearts.
