Glenda and I have been friends since 8th grade. I called her Pooh (takeoff on Pugh) Bear, and she called me Pookie. She was always a fun person, someone who could "cut to the chase" on any issue, and a life-long best friend. We shared many major life experiences together. Through adversities, she always kept a positive attitude and was upbeat. When we were young, we used to play cards with her grandmother, and Glenda, like her grandmother, loved playing cards throughout her life. She also liked to go to the movies, and many times when the boys were young, she would pack up a grocery bag with supplies, and we would all go, eating our way through the movie. Her dad, a Captain in the Texas State Troopers, took us both to get our driver's licenses together, and because of his status, we were treated like little princesses and didn't have to wait in any lines. Tommy, Scott, Gary, Tracey and Phillip, I know your hearts are aching, and I pray God brings you comfort and strength.

May her memory be eternal. She was like a second mom to me. She always had something special to give to my girls. We would go over to her house just so she could give them a special halloween gift. We will always cherish and think of her every time we take out the "special day" plate she gave to the girls. So sorry for your loss Tommy and Scott.
