Glyndon (Glenn) Cherry Parmlee III passed away peacefully on July 28, 2023, in Tomball, Texas. Born August 26, 1949, to Glyndon Cherry Parmlee Jr. and Rae Jean Lewis Parmlee in Houston, Texas; Glenn exuded warmth and a willingness to help those in need. He graduated from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas with an accounting degree and went on to work at Raintight, Powell and Great Western Supply.

Glenn's life was truly one of service to others. He was always the first to offer a helping hand to friends and family. He was also known to anonymously perform random acts of kindness for strangers.

Glenn truly loved to barbecue. He participated in many barbecue cook-offs through the years. He was also passionate about baseball. He played catcher growing up and was thrilled when his grandson, Logan, came to play the same position. His favorite pastime during his last few years was watching Logan play ball.

Glenn loved to share knowledge to resolve an issue or fix a problem. He was not unhappy if his opinion was not followed. He was the kind of man one could count on during life to do the right thing, and he will be greatly missed.

Glenn is preceded in death by grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Glyndon Cherry Parmlee Sr and Mr. and Mrs. Albert and Lillie Mae Lewis and his parents, Glyndon Cherry Parmlee Jr. and Rae Jean Lewis Parmlee. He is survived by his beloved wife Susan Phillips Parmlee; children Glyndon Cherry Parmlee IV and Tracy Parmlee Schindler; stepchildren Natalie DiChiaro, Rock Demarais II and wife Elizabeth, and Kristen Peterson and husband Sean; grand-son Logan Schindler; his sisters Dianne Parmlee and Becky Otto and husband, Ricky; nephew Nicholas Otto and wife Lee Ann; niece Natalie Woodard and husband Jerod; nephew Henry Otto and nieces Marjorie and Catherine Woodard and Holly Otto. He is also survived by a host of loving extended family members, cousins, and friends.

Pallbearers for the service are Glyndon Cherry Parmlee IV, Ricky Otto, Nicholas Otto, Logan Schindler, Larry Cook, and Adam Nelson. Honorary pallbearers are Kerry Osterholm and Paul Parmlee Davis.
