H.E. Moy Obituary

H.E. "Eddie" MOY, 80, of Houston, Texas passed away Thursday, May 22, 2008. He was born January 29, 1928 in Houston, Texas to Otto and Anna Moy. Eddie graduated from San Jacinto High School in 1944, and then attended Oklahoma University and the University of Houston. He worked for KPRC from 1944 until 1948. Mr. Moy enlisted in the Army in 1948 and served our country for 2 years and was honorably discharged as a Second Lieutenant. He worked for Dow Chemical from 1950 and retired in 1985 with 36 years service. Following his retirement he volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, Editor of Dow retiree news letter, Board of Houston Minority Council and association with Washington Cemetery. Eddie was preceded in death by his parents, wife Kathryn (Kitty) Moy and his son, Nelson. He was survived by wife, Jean, sons and daughters-in-law, Russell & Linda Moy, Ron Moy, Mike & Theresa Moy; also by 7 grandchildren, 2 step-children, and a sister Betty Christiansen. The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 5:00 PM Sunday, May 25, 2008. Services are set for 12:30 PM Monday, May 26, 2008 at the Memorial Oaks Funeral Home Chapel, 13001 Katy Freeway Houston, Texas. Interment will follow in the Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, 6800 Lawndale, Houston, Texas.
