Grant was with us in Chappaqua from kindergarten forward. He was very bright, very nice, and VERY tall (I tried to defend him in 6th grade Saturday morning basketball once and failed badly). Always positive, he, too, survived Mr. Barlow. He had a big smile and a huge laugh and was a great guy, a great classmate. He'll be much missed. Condolences and all best wishes to his family.

Grant and I shared and alternated on the piano bench throughout junior high and high school. Besides being fellow musicians, I always loved to be with Grant for his gleaming smile, rich laughter and great personality. He left a smile in my heart. Lydia (Lockridge) Morrongiello, Boulder, CO

Deepest sympathies to the Schroeder family.
Connecting with Grant at the most recent 1960 reunion was a gift. Grant was a very special and sensitive person. A gift to the lives of all he touched.

My sincere condolences to all the family. I remember Grant as being about the only one in class taller than I was. He was a friend to all.

I knew Grant from growing up in Chappaqua and attending
school together. I wish I had gotten to know him better
because he always was very nice and seemed like a great
guy. I send my condolences.

In fifth and sixth grade, Grant and I were often partners in dancing school classes. He was so handsome and kind and a gentleman. I have happy memories of those days dancing with Grant and wanted you to know how he touched my life. I'm so sorry for your loss and hope the happy memories you have of him will sustain you at this sad and difficult time.

I knew Grant from early on in Chappaqua in elementary school and on through high school. He was a good friend and a wonderful person to know. He was the piano man; we played together in a small band in high school. My sympathies on your loss.
