I was shocked to just hear of Harvard's passing this morning, I will miss him. I used to look forward to our long runs from Memorial Park, hearing of the wonderful projects he was helping to make happen, along with his personal council on life issues. He was a great Christian influence to me and he left the world a better place. God Bless Jan, the kids and grandkids, Harvard aways brightened up when they were in the conversation. You will be in Meredith's and my thoughts and prayers. God Bless, Gene

Harvard was such a wonderful man ... recall his ever present smile, and always willingness to open your home for our Fellowship Class get-to-gethers. Thanks Harvard and Jan for all you've done for so many throughout the years.

Harvard attended the same Bible Study Class as I do at Second Baptist Church, "Through the Bible in One Year." He was an amazing gentleman, so welcoming and encouraging to new people who came to the class, and to me when I started as a teacher. He will be greatly missed, but our loss is Heaven's gain. Jan, I will be praying for you and your family, that God comfort you all in this time of loss. Thank you so much for putting the beautiful gallery of photos online for the rest of us to see Harvard at different stages of his wonderful God-glorifying life.

As a fellow Pepperdine graduate and as a colleague I knew Harvard. What an interesting man; full of life, devoted to his family, always a twinkle in his eye.

Jan and family..my memories of Harvard are from the days together at Rotan Mosle. He was a great man to work with and was always encouraging to me. I remember very fondly the Christmas parties you had at your home and how gracious you all were to all of the Rotan Mosle employees who came and shared in your Christmas joy. Harvard made a difference in my life and for that I am very grateful. I am sorry for our loss but very happy to have known him. God bless you all.

I am glad that I got to know Harvard through his wonderful family. If the value of a man's life is seen in the worth and character of the family he leaves behind, Harvard lived well indeed.

"My Papo was a man of steel, always thought his arms were bigger than mine. He loved to here my success in my swimming career and look at my medals. I made State the day he died, my team and I are dedicating our races to him. I will bring home Gold for him. Harverd Hill was the most amazing grandpa ever, he had a good life and I love the corky things him and I laughed at. Have fun in heaven Papo, I'll miss you very much!"

My Papo was the most amazing grandpa ever and we shared a very special bond. I loved him very much and he was always there for me. We loved to go swimming at the Houstonian together. One memory I will never forget is how he always loved to play the hand game with me, and he would always try to cheat to beat me. It was a blast! He is with the Lord now and I know that one day we will meet again in Heaven. You will be missed!

Knowing that Harv is with the Lord and that his body is whole is reason to rejoice, but I know his presence will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with the Hill family members during this time. I have many fond memories of times spent in the Hill home and at the births of Sarah Ann and Scott Michael II.
