Imogene Wright Bowen went home peacefully to be with Lord on May 29, 2022. United in Heaven with her parents, Myra and Victor Wright, her first husband Don Dickerson, second husband James Bowen, brother Gerald Wright, sister Wanda Petty and niece Judy Malahy (survived by husband Rick Malahy).
Born on July 27, 1928 in Fisher, Louisiana, Graduated from Florien High School attended Northwestern Louisiana. Imogene moved from Many, LA to Houston, TX in 1960 to work Humble Oil (Exxon) until her retirement. Imogene is survived by sister Dorothy Williams, cousin Tommy Wright (Connie), nieces Donna Petty Martin, Lisa Martinson (Clark), Toni Abell, nephew Bruce Williams (Julie), and many great nieces, Sister Dorothy will miss their daily phone calls. A lifelong Baptist and a member of Champion Forest Baptist in her later years. She enjoyed walking at her church, playing bridge with friends, investing and traveling with loved ones. She will be remembered as a kind and gentle woman of great faith and style. She was grateful to her friends Madeline & Bill Jones who would take her to church in her later years.
Viewing will be held at 9am with a funeral service for Imogene to begin at 10am on Friday, June 3, 2022 at Klein Funeral Home, 16131 Champion Forest Dr., Spring, TX 77379. She will be laid to rest at a committal service in Klein Memorial Park in Pinehurst, TX immediately following the funeral service.
