I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Jack Frey, father of my friend & team mate Richard. Jack Frey lived a very full, meaningful life & was blessed to have a wonderful family. May his memory be a blessing to all who knew him.

Mr. Frey was always a hero to me. I still remember in the late 60s, he took our youth group to their Austin lake home and we had a blast. Through the years, our paths intersected Iccasionally and he was always the samegracious, with a smile, and with a charisma that he used to naturally to lead others to become better people, better Christians, and better family members. He was a natural leader and we knew he cared. He will be sorely missed. But what a promotion and reunion for him.

GOD Bless Jack & his precious family !
Jack was a "Seal Team Six" level example of being Paw Paw, Friend and business partner . . .
Jack, being Jack, connected with a listening ear, sincere interest, desire to help and encourage, while blended with an expectation for fruitfulness, that only a humble but powerful Paw Paw can pull off!
By GOD's grace, Jack & I reconnected around a Hill Country ranch in 2005. Through this project, we spent significant time together, at his business, Home, Hill Country Ranch & with his Sons. Providentially, during this season together, I was blessed with my first Grandson . . . As discerning my new role as Grand Father, I was with Jack! . . . GOD slapped me in the face saying "Here's your Role Model of a Professional Paw Paw !"
To this day, Jack as Paw Paw, remains my strongest mental picture of "Grand Father", the example I strive be.
We ended up flipping the Ranch . . . for the next 3 years I dropped in on Jack at his Hill Country ranch. Even when unannounced, he made time to visit . . . about real estate deals, solving the worlds problems, our families but what I remember most is our conversations about our Lord Jesus Christ and what He is doing in our lives, our families and in the lives of others! (with some love for our Aggie's sprinkled in!)
We profited together from our Hill Country Ranch but my greatest profit was my time with Jack, his friendship and life example as Paw Paw, Friend and grateful redeemed sinner in Christ Jesus!
This is only one story of Jack's impact . . . There are hundreds and hundreds of stories & lives impacted for Good by relationships and contact with Jack over his lifetime . . . A fruitfulness for Eternity simply by "Jack being Jack" !
Amen . . .

Loved Jack and Shirley. Enjoyed accompanying him and his harmonica on my guitar; lots of Christian and old time cowboy songs around the campfire on the ranch and at camp. He was all of every kind of energy, fun, and joy!

While we did not know him well, your dad made a great impression on us as we became acquainted with northwest houston young life in the late 1990s. My late husband and I became active in Young Life for the years to come. Jack was a great follower of Christ and I am grateful for his service to our Lord.

This wonderful christian man will be so missed by many including me. He has been such a testimony as how a father should raise his children to be men of God,how one should be a witness in this word and how one who cares for others. Thank you Jack.

I met Jack in 2002. At 70 he took the time to support, pray for, and invite me into his accountability breakfast group as a 22 year old Young Life leader. He managed to be both a mentor and treat me as an equal in the faith. I thank God for him and his time with us here on earth and praise God that he is home.

Jack was a kind, thoughtful friend to all the Warrens. Jim, Joe, Suzanne, and John all thought "Mr. and Mrs. Frey" were so great! They were genuine supporters of theirs in the sports they played and activities they enjoyed with the Frey boys - and a loyal friend to Joe and me. Jack and Shirley blessed our lives by their sweet spirits and Christian influence. It was a happy day for the entire community when the Frey family moved to Tomball and helped spread the "good news" of Jesus Christ. We are so sorry for your loss and our heartfelt sympathy is with you at this time of your Dad's homegoing. In Christian love, Dr. Joe and Cora Sue Warren

Richard, John, Paul, and David I know there is rejoicing in Heaven even though we will miss Mr. Jack here on earth. I only got to really know your dad in the past few years (I knew him because of y'all and Camp Peniel) but we were teammates for Thanksgiving Camp a couple of years ago and he really impacted me and my son. What a great time. We will sure miss visiting him and your mom when in Texas. Thanks for sharing your dad with us.
Love and Prayers to you and your families.

I appreciated knowing Jack and having him for a friend for many years. He was my counselor in Cross Bones Cabin at the old Camp Peniel. He was a good counselor and spent lots of time in having fun with his campers. He taught me to water ski on the San Jacinto River. These two things proved very helpful to me in my ministry at Frontier Camp for 25 years. And, he was a positive influence on me attending Texas A&M. He was truly a man of God and finished strong. We are praying for the family during this time.

I have known Jack and Don Tabb since our Aggie Annex days in 1949. I remember beating them in a softball game as Fish.(This was a miracle for us since Co 4 had two great jocks on the team: Jack and Don.) Tabb was from Albany, a goat roper, Rodeo guy and half way mean. That is until Jack lead him to the Lord our junior year. I was Senior Yell Leader in our senior year and was commander of Co B Fish, that is an all freshman company. Jack and Tabb were assigned to my company and I hardly ever saw them. Jack told me two months ago that when the company was marching to breakfast at Sibisa Hall, they would yell out to the company to save them two places, they would be over directly. The fish loved them because Jack and Don did not haze them.
In the service, both Jack and I went to airborne and Ranger school, but at different times. Jack still played racket ball at age 86 and could beat guys 30 years younger.
Both of these were fine, godly men who were great Aggies and a credit to their state and Nation. I loved both of them and know that they went to heaven at the instance of their deaths. May God bless their familes. John Dukie Childs, class of 53

I am so blessed to have known Mr. Frey. He had a great impact on Frontier Camp and me personally. We are grateful for his legacy that included so many family members that have served the Lord, not only at FC but all over the world. I had breakfast with Mr. Frey just a few weeks ago. He was already asking the Lord how to be an effective minister to others now that he was a widower. Most men in his situation would have simply stayed indoors and watched tv but Mr. Frey just lived for Jesus and others even while going through deep, personal grief. What a testimony for Jesus. I know he is enjoying in full what he only saw in part while here on earth. God bless all of you.

Jerry and I wish to extend our deepest sympathies at the loss of Jack. Such a legacy of faith he and Shirley left which was the very best legacy for it promises that this separation from them is only temporary because of their and your totally committed belief in Jesus Christ

Your father was a great man that influenced many including our family. We are privileged to have called him a close friend and spiritual mentor. His legacy will live on. We are also saddened at the loss of Don Tabb who was a close friend going back to the Billy Graham days. We pray for Mary and her family also.
