Jack Hughey Obituary
Jack L. Hughey
06/03/1930 - 03/03/2024
Jack, our cherished husband, father, grandfather, and brother went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 3, 2024.
He was born in Coffeyville, Kan., to John and Edith Hughey. After high school graduation, he worked for General Motors before serving in the United States Air Force. Upon his return, he graduated from Rockhurst College in Kansas City, Mo. It was in Kansas City where he met the love of his life, Beverly Mack, and shared over 61 wonderful years together.
Jack worked for Prudential Mortgage, and was transferred to St. Louis, Mo. He graduated from SMU School of Banking and became a Senior Vice President of St. Louis First National Bank. He moved to Houston as Senior Vice President of Houston National Bank. He then decided to go into business for himself working in commercial real estate and venture capital and belonged to numerous professional organizations.
Jack loved his family and attended his children's activities, served as PTA president, and volunteered his time on many committees. He loved his church, Chapelwood United Methodist, where he faithfully served as an usher for over 20 years, and as a volunteer in various ministries within the church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; and three brothers. Jack is survived by his loving wife, Beverly; his three children, Michele Parrott (Allen), Andria Francis (Brian), and Tyler Hughey; his grandchildren, Cameron and Haley Grace Francis and Travis and Lauren Parrott. He is survived by his sister, Jill Marchand; many nieces, nephews and friends.
Jack will be sorely missed, as he was the most positive person, and brought love, guidance, and inspiration to all. We will cherish our memories and hold him in our hearts, until that glorious reunion when we are together in Heaven.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family, with gratitude, would like to have anyone wishing to honor Jack's memory to donate to Chapelwood United Methodist Church Youth Ministry.
