Although Jim is with our Great Father, his passing is a great loss to our family. May God Bless.

Nancy,

I hope your sons know what a "good guy" their father was. I am sure they do.

I was in high school with "Homer Don", the Bonehead Boys, and I worked with him at the Texas Highway Dept. in the summers.

Jim was a very good friend of my cousin Jerry Preston. I could tell by his e-mail, he still had the dry sense of humor that we all loved.

God bless you and your family.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you as you begin each day with the vivid memories of such a loving husband and father. May you feel God's comforting arms around you.

To all the family: Jim is one of the few who could say that he left the world a better place than he found it. I am thankful for having known him. I wish my wife could have met him. He was a special individual. He enriched us all.

With all our best wishes. Our thoughts and love are with you.

David is a good friend and has shared many of Jim's corny jokes with me over the years. I am sure he's up in heaven now trading knee-slappers with the Almighty.

God Bless all the Bennetts.

I will never forget Jim's smile

and sly sence of humor.

Nancy and family: Words cannot express the lost that all of our circle of friends will have. Jim was smart and shared a wealth of information with his former high school friends. When God made Jim, he threw away the mold. God bless you and keep you.

Nancy: Life is not easy for you right now, just know you have a lot of friends that love you and are praying for your strength to get thru this trying time. I love you and wish I could be there for you. I will see you soon. My love to the boys and their families also!

Jim and his brothers, Bill and Jon, are my second cousins. They were all born in Childress, TX, while I was born in the Bethel Community in Whitney, TX. Therefore, our families didn't see much of each other until we discovered Jon and Margaret in Fort Worth about 7 years ago. Then, I met Jon's brothers and their families. What a blessing to us to get to know these wonderful people, but regret not getting to know them sooner.

Jim was a very special person, with a wonderful sense of humor and love of his family.

God bless Jim and our condolences to his family.
