I hope your sons know what a "good guy" their father was. I am sure they do.
I was in high school with "Homer Don", the Bonehead Boys, and I worked with him at the Texas Highway Dept. in the summers.
Jim was a very good friend of my cousin Jerry Preston. I could tell by his e-mail, he still had the dry sense of humor that we all loved.

To all the family: Jim is one of the few who could say that he left the world a better place than he found it. I am thankful for having known him. I wish my wife could have met him. He was a special individual. He enriched us all.

Nancy and family: Words cannot express the lost that all of our circle of friends will have. Jim was smart and shared a wealth of information with his former high school friends. When God made Jim, he threw away the mold. God bless you and keep you.

Jim and his brothers, Bill and Jon, are my second cousins. They were all born in Childress, TX, while I was born in the Bethel Community in Whitney, TX. Therefore, our families didn't see much of each other until we discovered Jon and Margaret in Fort Worth about 7 years ago. Then, I met Jon's brothers and their families. What a blessing to us to get to know these wonderful people, but regret not getting to know them sooner.
Jim was a very special person, with a wonderful sense of humor and love of his family.
God bless Jim and our condolences to his family.
