James Doherty Obituary

James Alvin Doherty Jr. age 57 of Houston TX met his savior on January 4th, 2014. He was born at Heights hospital in Houston TX, attended grade school and junior high in Midland TX, and graduated high school in Andrews TX. James attended Lakewood church in Houston TX and had a long and distinguished career as a draftsman.
He is survived by his wife Leticia, daughter Lia, mother Bobbie Stamps, stepmother Marianne Russell, sister Sheree King, brother Dennis Doherty, stepsisters Vicky Russell and Danna Garymartin.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM, Tuesday January 7th at Leal Funeral Home, 2200 Wilcrest Drive, Houston TX 77042.

I worked with James on the BP Mad Dog project and we remained friends afterwards. He was well respected and very proud of his family. James and I talked about drafting and rental properties regularly. I admired his courage in the way he approached his health challenges. Truly, a man of God. James, I will miss you, brother.
