Jim was simply a wonderful guy. We spent hours laughing, joking, playing practical jokes on each other, talking about family, and of course baseball. It's a wonder we ever got any work done.
My prayers and condolences to Candy, Todd and the rest of the family. I miss Jim but take comfort in knowing he's in a better place.

Candy, it’s been a long time since we were all striving to get a struggling fraternity off the ground back in the early 70s and Jim was always an integral part of those efforts. He was always willing to pitch in on whatever needed doing and could truly be counted on. We had some great times back then and I regret not keeping in touch, but I will always have the memories of the campouts at Lake Somerville, car races through the UH parking lots, John-a-thons and of course the Parties! I will always kindly remember Jim not only as a fraternity brother and friend but as someone who truly had a passion for what he believed in and I’m sure that he is right now working on God to sign up as a pledge. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family. Trust in God and take peace in his word.

Candy and Todd,

It's difficult to express how shocked and a saddened I am by Jim's passing. I would be hard pressed to name a more vibrant and jovial person that I've ever worked with. Enormously witty, caring, geniune and always willing to help those who needed a hand or just someone to listen to them for a while. As much as I will miss him as a co-worker, I can't comprehend the depth of his passing to his family. God bless you and give you comfort and peace.

Candy and Todd, know that everyone who knew Jim has a heart filled with wonderful memories of one of the friendliest, kindest and most considerate human beings on earth. Candy and family, I have known and admired Jim as a colleague and a friend for many years in our business world of Logistics. It deeply saddens me to hear of his passing at a time when I had just recently heard he was improving.
I regret that I will be unable to attend Jim's service Monday as I am currently in Italy loading a ship - what else - but will certainly be there in spirit, and I know that the Fluor Logistics Team will be there in force also. May God bless you and keep you at this very difficult time, secure in the knowledge that Jimmy is now at peace - Tom Cullins - Fluor
