James Primos Memoriam

James Anthony Primos, Jr.
05/11/1959 - 05/14/2024
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of James "Jim" Anthony Primos, Jr., 65, of Plano, Texas, who left us on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at the age of 65.

Jim was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, on May 11, 1959. After his early years in New Orleans, he spent part of his childhood in Rancho Bernardo, California. There he attended Poway High School where he made lasting memories and formed lifelong friendships that he cherished throughout his life. Before his senior year of high school, Jim moved to Houston, Texas, where he graduated from Spring Woods Senior High School. He then attended Sam Houston State University, proudly earning a Bachelor of Business Administration. However, Jim's greatest delight from that time was, again, the enduring friendships he forged.

On July 29, 1995, Jim was thrilled to marry "the love of his life", Kimberly Jolly.

Jim's life was filled with passions and joys, particularly fishing with loved ones and golfing with the guys. Anyone who truly knew Jim knew that he had a big heart and found great happiness in his time with family and friends, who meant the world to him. He often remarked on how fortunate he felt to have a close-knit network of loved ones who remained by his side throughout his life.

Jim will be sorely missed by his daily companion and faithful sidekick, his four-legged boy, Bogey.

Jim is survived by his wife, Kim Primos; his son, Jason Primos; daughter, Jamie Lopez (Scott); Melissa Grosh; and his cherished granddaughter, Addison Primos. He also leaves behind his mother, Janice Primos, sisters, Diana Lowe (Elliott) and Margaret Primos (John Walkinshaw); and nieces and nephews, Aubrey, Craig, Jenna, Jennifer, Lauren, Patrick, Regan, Scott and Shane.

Jim was preceded in death by his father, James Anthony Primos, Sr.; his father-in-law, James Jolly; and his mother-in-law, Wanda Jolly.

The family will be holding a funeral service at Covenant Church (2644 E Trinity Mills Road, Carrollton, Texas 75006) on June 20, 2024 at 2:00 pm to celebrate the life of a man who was loved deeply and will be greatly missed. We welcome all who knew him to join us.

To further commemorate Jim's remarkable life, we invite you to join us for a Celebration of Life gathering afterward. This will be an opportunity to share cherished stories and memories in his honor. The event will take place at the home of Kim Primos, with additional details provided at the funeral.
