James Leroy Renner, 95, passed away on February 14, 2023. He was survived by his wife of 67 years, Helen Koinm Renner.
Jimmy was a member of Faith UMC. He proudly served in the USMC, and he retired from Union Pacific RR after nearly 40 years of service.
He was predeceased by his parents Paul and Emma Renner; his siblings David (Corky) Renner, Paul (Plute) Renner, and Shirley Goad; his brother-in-law Stanley Goad; his sisters-in-law Winnie Renner, and Joyce Renner; and his son-in-law Ted Hammett.
Jimmy is survived by his wife Helen; children Steve Renner, Becky Renner Hammett (Ted), Mollie Renner Husman (David); 8 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law Roz Renner.
Visitation: February 20, 2023, 5:00 –7:00 p.m., at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home, 13102 North Freeway, Houston, TX 77060.
Celebration of Life: February 21, 2023, Viewing at 9:00 a.m. and Service at 10:00 a.m., Faith United Methodist Church, 2403 Rayford Rd, Spring, TX 77386.
Graveside Service: February 21, 2023, 1:30 p.m., Woodlawn Cemetery, 1101 Antoine Dr, Houston, TX 77055.

I am so sorry to hear that Jimmy has passed. The world is a sadder place without him in it. I have fond memories of the nights he and Helen visited my parents to play pinochle. I only just learned of his passing and am sorry I was not able to attend his funeral. My heartfelt condolences to Helen, Steve, Becky, Molly and the rest of his family.
