Janice Reynolds Obituary

Janice Claire Brown Reynolds
January 18, 1938 - May 28, 2022
JANICE "Jan" CLAIRE BROWN REYNOLDS passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, May 28, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Jan was born in Omaha, Nebraska on January 18, 1938, to Leo Thomas Brown and Susan Berens Brown. The family moved to Dallas, Texas when Jan was an infant. The youngest of four, Jan is preceded in death by her sister, Mary Sue Keely and is survived by her sister, Ruth Ann Wiseman and brother, Thomas Leo Brown.

Janice attended St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School and Ursuline Academy of Dallas, Texas, and The University of Texas at Austin, where she was a member of Alpha Phi sorority. Jan had the gift of hospitality and had a cheerful and easy-going spirit. She dedicated much of her time volunteering with various organizations and greatly cherished her role at the Harris County Jail where she served as a Jail Chaplain for many years.

Jan is survived by her loving husband of sixty-three years, Robert Bruce Reynolds, her two daughters, Susan Reynolds Knizner (husband, Greg Knizner, granddaughter, Kate Knizner and grandson, Kyle Knizner) and Robyn Reynolds LaRocca, (husband Marc LaRocca, and granddaughters Rachel LaRocca and Sarah LaRocca. Jan was a kind and thoughtful wife, mother, and grandmother, who taught and loved us well.

The Reynolds family would like to express their most heartfelt gratitude to Kaci Wright, Maricela Rupley, and Robert Lampkin for their kind and gentle care. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 10, 2022, at 11:00 am at St. Bartholomew the Apostle Catholic Church, downtown Katy, 5356 11th Street, Katy, Texas, 77493.
