Jason Rathweg Obituary

Jason Anthony Rathweg
1983-2016
On July 10th, after a year long battle with Pancreatic cancer, Jason went home to be with his Lord. His fight against cancer was courageous and inspiring to all who knew him.
Jason was born on June 14, 1983 in Baton Rouge, LA. He is survived by his parents, Steve and Christine, his brother, Joshua, and sister, Jessica. His sister-in-law, Michelle, and his brother-in-law, Chase. He has four nieces; Avery, Bryn, Jaden and Peyton, and one nephew, Trenton.
Jason was a graduate of Klein High School, where he was a member of the soccer team. He went on to graduate from Baylor University with a B.S. in Biology. He then furthered his education at Texas A&M with a Master's degree in Epidemiology.
After graduation he started a wedding photography business with his brother and spent the past six years in that business.
Jason was loved for his unique sense of humor, his love of adventure and his overall love of life. He had no fears and took on any challenge that came his way, including the challenge of battling cancer. He was a faithful friend to all, a dedicated and loving uncle and a wonderful son. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him and they will be forever proud of him.
A graveside service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on July 16 at the Carmen Nelson Bostick Cemetery in Tomball.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to MD Anderson Pancreatic Research.
Your suffering is over, rest in peace with God, Jason.

I'm just learning about Jason's passing. He and Josh were amazing photographers at my daughter's wedding in 2011. He was an absolute joy and always was happy to help. Continued prayers for the family!
