Jason Wright Obituary

JASON PAUL WRIGHT, 20, born December 12, 1985, in Spring Branch, TX. passed away June 15, 2006. "The definition of a lifeguard" is what Jason' friends called him. I call him, my son and "best friend". Stacey called him "big brother". He wasn't just a kid on a motorcycle, he was an easy going guy and honor student at Lamar University, studying Engineering and anticipating induction to Sigma Phi Delta Fraternity. If you knew Jason you would have been his friend; outgoing with a quick smile and an outstretched hand to shake. Grounded with high values, he took pride in his family, work and role as a friend. He taught lifeguard training, CPR and First Aid. He competed at the City, State and National Lifeguard level. He was a dedicated supervisor at Poseidon Pools. In his spare time you might see him working diligently on his S10 truck, 750 bike, golfing, or just being a friend. He was loyal and compassionate with a huge heart to help others. You could call him day or night.he was there for you. He was an inspiration to all he touched. Remember his motto, "live each day like it is your last, leave nothing to chance". Jason was preceded in death by his grandfathers, John Donald Wright Sr., and Ken Besco. He is survived by his mother, Sharon Wright; sister, Stacey Wright; father, Paul Wright; his dog, Jake; grandparents, Elaine Besco, Richard Kott, Roberta Wright; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and other loving relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 12 noon- 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 20, 2006, at Rosewood Funeral Home, Pasadena. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 21, 2006, at Clear Lake United Methodist Church, 16335 El Camino Real, Houston, TX. 77062, and entombment will follow at Grandview Memorial Park, Pasadena. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to: Jason Wright Memorial Fund, JSC Credit Union, 1330 Gemini, Houston, TX 77058.

Mrs. Wright, I am very saddened to hear about your loss. Even though I never knew your son, I do know that children are a reflection of their parents. That's why it is so hard to hear the loss of another kind, generous, and wonderful person. May God bless you and your family.

Sharon

I was so lucky to have know Jason. He was a true friend to Sherri and everone else that he knew. I enjoyed his love for life and his drive to excell in all that he did. He loved life and made each day enjoyable. I always enjoyed his visits to our home. He loved to drop by and sit on my big chair. I loved the time we were able to share with him and he will be missed.

I met Jason through my daughter. As a father, I have had the fortunate opportunity to meet Jason who touched so many people. I respected Jason and enjoyed his company in our household. I was very pleased that Jason accompanied my daughter to her Senior Prom just a few weeks ago. I knew she was with a person that I trusted and respected. I am truly going to miss him and will never forget him. God bless Jason. / Taylor family
