Bless my talented friend and my Ophelia when I played Laertes in Hamlet at the old fan factory Alley Theatre in the 1960's. What a joy it was to work with Jeannette on that stage and in her one woman show with all that group shown in the picture. What a wonderful talent in the service of our God.

I watched Jeanette Clift play Corrie Ten Boom in "The Hiding Place". What a blessing to see her portray the life of that woman of God. Finding out that she herself was a Christian made it even more special. I was glad to find out that she continued to use her gift of acting for the glory of God. May the Lord comfort her family and friends!

I met Jeannette in October 1997 when she was speaking at Stonecroft Ministries conference in Williamsburg VA. She could make you laugh and she could make you cry with her stories and performances. I miss you Jeannette but, you are now performing for the greatest audience, your Savior, the one you served until He called you home.

I had the great honor of spending time with Jeanette in Glorieta, New Mexico when she was the keynote speaker at a Single's Conference. She helped me plan our wedding and just like she and Mr. George, the Hallelujah Course was played. A few years ago we watch Jeanette in "Something about Harry". After the performance we talked with her and she said "I heard you laughing and I knew exactly who it was". She was a remarkable lady, walked in grace, and I am so glad I will see her in the morning.

I Had the privilege of meeting Jeanette as a member of Second Baptist. About 5 years ago I was in between the end of church service and Bible Study, when I ran into her standing at the elevator in the foyer. I had always seen her so happy and content, but today she had this look of concern. I introduced myself and asked what was troubling her. She told me that a teacher was sick and that she was to teach the lesson in just a few minutes and didn't know what to say. I was taken back and had to smile when I told her that " Anything you say,God would be pleased with!"She gave me a big smile. Shortly after that we saw each other again when I took a chance and asked her if she would speak to our Men's Breakfast group. She graciously accepted. What a great honor and privilege! Thank you Jeanette!

I had the distinct pleasure of meeting Jeanette Clift George about 11 years ago at the AD players office on W. Alabama in a meeting with their Marketing Director in a business meeting. She happened to come into the office where we were meeting and I was introduced to her by the Marketing Director at the time. I mentioned to her how much I enjoyed her performance as Mrs Malaprop in The Alley's play "The Rivals" some years earlier in 1980 I believe. She reacted with a surge of enthusiasm , claiming that was one of her most favorite roles, and she immediately recited one of the lines from the play with much gusto as if she was on stage. This fits perfectly in what her obit said at the end, in that her inner child never left her.

Jeanette was truly one of God's greatest gifts to His ministry on this earth! She had such an impact on so many lives and I know she has been welcomed into Heaven with thunderous applause and joyous shouts! I thank God that my husband and I met her over 50 years ago, were part of her original Bible Study that met in a home, and counted her as a special friend all these years. Thank you Jeanette, for being such a perfect example of a Christian life well lived.

Mrs. George meant so, so much to me. I have known her almost my entire life and cant yet imagine this world without her in it. She had a gift of making people feel important and she did this for me. I learned some of the greatest lessons of my life from both her public messages and our private conversations. I miss her and I love her dearly. She will forever be a voice in my head cheering me on or advising me to handle things in a smarter way.

What a talented Christian woman. She touched my life with her play "Myrtle" and her movie character in The Hiding Place. She truly made herself a servant of our Lord.

Mrs George was a great speaker. At proverbs 31:29 it mentions that there are many capable women But you surpass them all. She was very motivational person. May the George family be comforted at this time.

I met Jeannette in 1986 when she was our speaker at our Ladies Retreat in Southern California. We became acquainted and I instantly loved her. 26 years later my husband and I relocated to Houston. Little did I know we would be in Jeannette's Bible Study at Second Baptist. I could hardly believe the blessing God gave me to be able to be friends with her. Jeannette was such an encouragement to me every Sunday! Every Sunday I looked forward to seeing her as she was such an inspiration to me. I am so thankful to The Lord for orchestrating this reunion on earth. And now I look forward to our reunion in Heaven. Thank you for precious memories Jeannette! I love you, Laurie McIntyre

I first met Jeannette Clift George January 15th 1995. My first visit to Second Baptist Church, Woodway Campus. I was guest of Paul Bice & his wife. They took me to the Welcome Class after morning worship. Jeannette was the Teacher. She was very vibrant, happy, cheerful , big laughter plus giggles. I was welcomed with open arms & hugs from her. She stated then Here is the one. She explained she was looking for one more member to extend her class to 100. I was the one. That day I joined her class & never left. Her class was my Sunday morning class ; while I had another class on Saturday evenings. She does her Teaching with lots of humor. An Actress she was indeed. That never left her. Her class had never been boring. In no time her Class grew to 200 members. She & I were very close over the years. Her husband Mr George & her were inseparable. I certainly miss her. RIP Jeannette Clift George ;my Bible Study Teacher. The Angels Welcome you in Heaven.

Jeannette Clift George was simply an amazing woman who gave everything she had to God and shared the Great Good News of His gospel message. A loyal, loving friend, a mentor, an inspiration to all who knew her - she was greatly loved and will be greatly missed. The angels have gained her incredible laugh and loving fellowship. Our loss on earth, but because of Jesus, our joy again in heaven!

To the George Family: My heartfelt sympathies go out to the family and friends during this difficult time. I hope that the promise in 1 Thessalonians 4:14 can bring comfort. Knowing that there's a hope for the ones we have lost in death can be so reassuring.
