Mr. & Mrs. Waldrop, I am so sad to hear about the passing of Jeff. He always made me feel so welcome and a part of the family from day one. He made me laugh out loud and I loved hanging out in his room listening to him talk about his teams!! My heart hurts for you all and I am praying for you, the days ahead will be hard, but please know that so many are praying for you, thinking about you and missing Jeff daily. May God be with you during these difficult times.

Jeff I'll never forget how you used to tell Rikki my daughter, Caine's little sister to "Get to the, straight to the" when she was hanging around with the boys cause you didn't want her to be around the boys. Now you and her are together with God in Heaven a much better place and I can't wait to see you both when my days are through here. I hope she was in the welcoming party to enter in to the streets of gold and your mansion prepared for you.

Hello my name is Christy (Duensing) and I am Jeff’s friend. I have known Jeff for most of his life. I get up here today to talk to you about Jeff and the special bond we all had with him. Jeff was there for me in my good times and in bad times, he watched my daughter grown up, he came to my children’s birthday’s, we camped, we fished, we have cried together, and we laughed so many times. Jeff was a big part of my life and Pete’s life.
For those that knew Jeff his hobbies were so many, one of his favorites was hunting with JD and his family. He always looked forward to the Drag’s every year and hanging out with Jerry, Lori and the Plopper Family.I remember hearing about Jet skiing with Mark Puffer, and I remember all the Astros games we use to go to.
Jeff was a kind person, with such a big heart. Jeff might have complained here and there but, if you knew Jeff he was not rude or mean. Jeff had a special way of making people comfortable when he talked to them he was very laid back and humorous. The things he used to say and the way he said them made him different. We all know Jeff’s character was a true character so genuine and real.
I have a few memories to share about my dear friend Jeff. I remember Jeff and I coming back from a gathering in my Grand Am on a Sat night, I ran out of gas and he pushed the car as I steered. I laughed as I saw him sweating and seriously mad at me for having to push the car so far to get gas.
When we were roommates he called me at work and said he needed to talk to me when I got home he took me to the washroom and said “OK tell me what I need to do so I can just walk away”. Jeff had his clothes in the washer and needed help washing clothes. I thought it was serious and it was its funny thinking how I remembered that.
When we went camping In Somerville he would get a hot dog out of a cooler he was sitting on, and he would put the hot dog on a small twig stick. I remember it would catch on fire and the hot dog would get burnt and he would still eat it. I remember us all laughing telling him that was over cooked and nasty.
Jeff had a unique dance, well we all thought it was unique he knew we were laughing with him not at him when he used to say he was going to cut a rug on the dance floor.
Years ago during a Sunday football game, I would be in the kitchen cooking and we would be having our normal gatherings. The TV would be loud and Jeff and Harold would be screaming at the game. Well when Jeff and Harold were together they fed off each other and teased everybody including Lori and I.
Jeff and Harold would knock on the wall and tell me Lori was there at the door, I would answer the door any nobody was there. Ha Ha!! Then later Lori would show up and they would still be knocking on the wall Lori’s here. They did this for years!!
I remember in high school Jeff and Harold filled up both Lori and I answering machines with the Spanish radio station. We always got punked by them.
I just have too many memories and good times over 25 years of true friendship. I know that so many of you here today share the same bond with Jeff the fun moments, the laughing moments and the crazy memories we all shared and remember..
Jeff always talked about how much he cared about his mom and told me several times how much he loved her.
I stand here today and I would like to say something good that will come out of our dear friend Jeff’s passing. I would like us all to focus on more hope and faith in our lives and remember that tomorrow is not promised. So if we can all hug our loved ones tighter, tell our loved ones we love them every day. Kiss our children more forgive one another, it will bring peace in our hearts. I ask please that we do this in Jeff’s honor and memory.
Keep Jeff’s memories alive by always keeping him in your heart, be strong and never forget Jeff Waldrop, remember how special he was and how he touched our lives deeply.
Jeff I know you are here with us I wanted to let you know that it’s been an amazing journey with you here on this bus ride in life, life will never completely be the same without you.
I will always love you and we will all miss you so much I (know that) you found peace.
