Jeremy was a fantastic person. I served with him in Astan as well and was so hurt to hear the news of his passing. Just before leaving Astan Jeremy gave me a 509th PIR hat. I wear the hat often and remember the selfless and talented medic that we all loved and admired. The hat is worn and faded now from use, but my memories of him are clear and cherished. Miss ya bud.

Jeremy was a very hardworking soldier. In the short time that I had known him in Afghanistan, it was plain to see that he would have made a great and fearless leader. To hear of this tragedy was unbelievable to me. I hope that all of his family and friends will look back on his life with loving memories and eventually have the strength to move on, but never forget what a great person, and soldier he truly was. My prayers are with you.
