Jim Hickey Obituary

JIM HICKEY age 87 died of natural causes on Wednesday, January 14th 2009. Jim was born in New York, New York December 13th, 1921. His wonderful son Kevin Hickey precedes him in death. Jim is survived by his wife of 60 years Helen and two sons Steven Hickey and wife Wendy of San Diego, California and Brian Hickey and wife Mary of Austin, Texas. In addition, he is survived by 4 grandchildren Katie and Steven of San Diego and Brett and Kyle of Austin. He has one great grandchild Shane of San Diego. Jim had an illustrious 20 plus year career with the Grumman Corporation at NASA. He will be fondly remembered by all that knew him as a devoted husband, a caring father and mentor to his sons and his grandchildren. Visitation will be held at the Crowder Funeral Home 1111 E. Medical Center Blvd. Webster, TX 77598 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Friday January 16th. Rosary will be said at 7:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held at Saint Paul's Catholic Church in Nassau Bay, Saturday January 17th at 11:00 a.m. Burial to follow at the Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Mansur Nathoo, M.D. and his staff for their care and thoughtfulness.
