Jimmy Hobbs

JIMMY HOBBS, was born March 1930 in Waco, Tx to Jesse Canute and Eileen Hobbs. He died December 27, 2008 in Palacios, TX. He grew up in Houston Heights and entered the service in WW II, he married Joyce Dixon and had 4 children, Celeste, Susan, Jody, and Jesse. After retiring he moved to Palacios, Texas where he pursued his love of fishing and gardening. He was predeceased by his wife, Pearl, in Sept. 2008, also by his parents Jim and Eileen and his sister, Halcyonne Dromgoole. He is survived by his children, Celeste Powell of Normangee, Susan Venus, Jody Hobbs, Jesse Hobbs and 5 grandchildren of Houston and sister, Billie Watson of Katy, Texas. We have lost an honorable, kind, independent man of high principles and will never forget him. We are deeply grateful to Dinah Wicker of West Columbia, Texas for her loving care of both Pearl and Jimmy.
